Worried about kitty's eye

I have a 5-month-old kitten and yesterday I noticed her left eye looked different. I didn’t have any other cats before her so I don’t have much experience, but it almost seems like her third eyelid has disconnected (?)


I apologize if this doesn’t make a lot of sense. I have included some pictures. Any help and advice would be really helpful.

Hi, I just thought of a possible resource for you. there is the Blind Cat Rescue. You can reach them at blindcatrescue.com.

I would imagine they have seen it all in terms of eye injuries, infections, etc.

I wish you the best. I know I don't like it when one of my cats is sick.

Hi,
I don't think your kiten's eyelid is detached unless he/she was in a trauma or accident. But their third eyelid could drop with an eye infection or corneal scratch. I would take him/her to a vet soon so her vision isn't compromised.

I've never seen anything quite like that, but if she were my cat, I'd be worried about her vision and possible infection. I'd get her to the veterinarian right away.
