When can my kitten start sleeping with me?

I’ve had my 11-week-old kitten for about a week. I guess this week he will be 3 months old. He is using the litter box fine and knows to use it for his business.

He is becoming a little needy, sometimes will meow if I’m not in the room, scratch on the door too. He likes to take naps next to me on the sofa and always gives me a quick cuddle before doing so. He follows me around a lot.

At first, I was worried he was starting to have separation anxiety. But he is also still a baby and just needs love. He did just move from one home to another. But I was wondering, in a couple of days, shall I allow him to start sleeping with me?

Right now I have him sleep in his safe room, with everything he needs. So in a few days, shall I allow him to spend the night with me, and keep the door open so he can go down if he wants to?
