Train cat to alert?

My two-year-old with autism was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea. My orange tabby, Clementine, has been a mama to her since she was born. She's very protective, very gentle, and ridiculously tolerant.
I am wondering if it might be possible to train her to alert me if the baby stops breathing? If it is, how would I go about it, or who could help me? Thanks for your time!
