Matriarch cat has 3 teeth left, vomits regularly

by Van impe

Matriarch Humphries was born August 1, 2005 on a farm some 15 miles away. We got her as a kitten. In spring, 2007, she tried to wake up my wife to give birth to Kraag, Pepito, and two other sisters. They grew up with my niece.

Later on, we "changed" Humphie for just Fi hum! On October 7, disaster struck the day after my wife's birthday. Kraag, thesheepalike male, desperately looking for a female not available in our jungle-swamp got killed by a car. All other cats are alive and tripping the life fantastic.

Greetings

Dental/Gum, Hairballs. But something else to check for - surprisingly cats can also get heart worms - I was informed it causes vomiting. I sure hope not - wishing your baby an easy recovery and good health. Priscilla

Vomiting has many causes
by: Kurt (Admin)

Chronic vomiting has many causes, so I'd suggest having your veterinarian examine your cat with that in mind. Dental disease in cats can lead to other health problems, so that may be part of the problem. Food allergies are not uncommon and can cause vomiting as well. The only way to know what's going on, though, is to have an exam, along with blood work (she's at that age). I hope she gets over this soon.
