Lost cat in a house with a dog?

I had to take my cat LuLu to my sister's house for a few days. Lulu is an indoor cat and had not been to my sister's house. My sister has a dog and a large home with an up and downstairs.
We have searched every inch of the house but cannot find her.
Do you think she will stay in hiding with the dog still in the house? I would like to ask my sister to take her dog somewhere for a while- overnight if possible to see if she would come out of hiding. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.
