Can two sister cats learn to get along again?

Can two sister cats learn to get along and be friendly again? I have two sister cats who have been living together since birth, but after we took them for the booster jabs at the vet's, they have not been getting along (e.g hissing at each other).


It makes me upset that they used to be best friends and now don’t get along. Does anyone have any advice to help make them be more friendly to each other?

Sometimes when cats come back from the vet, they're stressed and act out. This can be from displaced aggression, or because they don't smell right anymore, or just due to the stress.

They usually get over it pretty quickly, but play time, treats, and feeding them near each other can help. Also, try taking a damp rag and wiping both cats down to try to get them to smell right again. If it's bad enough that they're fighting and might accidentally hurt each other, you may want to separate them for a while. Good luck!
