Why is my cat coughing?

A few minutes ago my cat and I played a little chasing game. Then suddenly she started coughing so hard. Even though I got worried I did my best to calm her down. It stopped but then her voice became weirdly different like it was quite low. Now she is resting. What should I do? Did this happen just because of the chase? I'm really worried. Could you respond as soon as possible, please?
