Why does my cat hiss at my other kitten after 2 months?

by Nour Zakaria

Why does my cat hiss at my other kitten after two months of interacting? My older cat is sometimes OK with my new kitten and sometimes not. She sometimes plays with her and grooms her, and five minutes later hisses at her. It's very confusing for me.

They’ve been together for two months now and they were fine the first two weeks, with no hissing at all. All of a sudden my older one started to act weirdly like that.

Did anyone ever experience that before?

It takes time

It can take time for cats to learn to get along, and sometimes, like humans, they have their differences. Introducing them slowly can help prevent problems later. It doesn't sound like you have a major problem here, so I would just keep an eye on things and see how it goes.
