What to feed kittens?

by Angana Banerjee

A street cat had gave birth to two male kittens in my house on May 22, 2018. They are recently hiding under the stairs.

The mother cat pays them a regular timely visit to feed them. She's not our pet. But the babies are crying these days when the mother is absent.

We thought maybe the cat is unable to feed her kittens, so we tried to feed them ordinary milk. Cat milk isn't available here that much.

But they were very scared when we took them out. They started mewing. What should I do?

Not cow's milk
by: Sally F.

Cow's milk doesn't have the right nutrient mix for kittens, and it also may give them diarrhea due to lactose intolerance.

What you need is kitten formula. If it's not available in stores near you, I would try to get help from a local veterinarian or people who work for a veterinarian. I would think they have access to kitten formula or an alternative. Good luck!
