Walter from Indiana

by Derek VOF
(Indiana)

My cat, Walter, passed away a couple weeks ago at age 20. In the last three years, he was my wife’s “rock” while I battled MDS/AML and spent six months hospitalized for two bone marrow transplants and over 100 blood and platelet transfusions.

He kept things together and we miss him greatly. We put together a video of his life, along with my fight. Having something to fight for has been instrumental in my recovery.

I'm in tears now...
by: Jolie66

This was the most beautiful tribute to an animal that I have ever seen. In fact, Walter was not an "animal", he was a child. Amy and her hubby and their (cat)daughter and son were a beautiful family, I just loved the pictures of them together. Everyone should love their babies equally no matter what species they are. I am so moved. I'm about to be a grandmother, my step-daughter is in labor, so I'm really emotional today. I can't wait to get home and hug my child-cat, Ginger, the love of MY life. And she will be Ollie's pal!

Sweet Kitty
by: Rayna

The video is so beautiful. You all just radiate love. It reminds me so much of my own story. My Tommy was an orange and white tabby who lived to be 19 and helped me through cancer. I miss him every day. I often thought of making a memorial video for him, but so far I have been too sad when I watch footage of him. Someday soon I will. Tommy and Walt would get along great! Maybe they are chilling at the Rainbow Bridge together. Thank you for sharing this. And thank you for being such amazing cat parents.

LOVE
by: Marla

I had tears watching your video! What an amazing love you have for Walter. He was meant to be in your life, and you in his. 20 yrs is a long time and I'm sure you miss him dearly. ((Big hug)) for all you've been through with your own health. Best wishes to you and your family. I hope one day you receive a sign from Walter that he is ok and still a part of your life.
