Should I start giving my kitten lactose free milk or completely stop the milk?

My kitten is 8 weeks old. He drinks a very small amount of KMR milk every night before bed. I have had him for three days now. He does eat solid food both wet and dry.

Should I start mixing the KMR milk with lactose-free milk so that he can have milk at night before bed? Or should I just slowly reduce the amount of milk given and finally not give him any at all?

My kitten really enjoys having his milk nightly before bed, even though it is not a large amount, maybe around 3 or 4 tbsp full.

The milk is very expensive and I was thinking to switch him to lactose-free milk. I am a new cat mom and not even sure if milk is a necessity for cats. He does drink water as well.

Milk is not necessary

Cats don't need milk once they start eating solid food. I would cut down on the milk and eventually stop it completely.
