Okay to put kitten in another room to play with cat?

by Anonymous

I got a new kitten a couple of months ago, and both my cats get along. But my kitten takes over playtime every time (she’s 6 months). My older 2-year-old cat likes to slowly stalk her toy and chase it, but my kitten is faster.

Also, I live in a studio apartment. Is it mean to put the kitten in the bathroom with a toy so I can play with the older cat alone for a little while? I feel like that’s sad, but the 2-year-old cat can't seem to figure out how to play simultaneously.

It's fine to separate them for a little while so they both can get quality playtime.
