My new kitten hates my daughter. What do I do?

We found a kitten when my daughter was away at college. Whenever she comes home the kitten hisses at her, swipes and scratches at her when she tries to pet her, and more. We've tried aromatherapy, gently introducing her, everything we could think of. Nothing works. What do I do?
