My cat's eating habits?

I have a 6-year-old Maine Coon who is otherwise healthy, with no vomiting or diarrhea. I feed her small amounts of food every two hours while I'm awake to keep her from eating too fast. Sometimes he doesn't seem interested in his food but he never goes more than 8 hours without eating. I always thought cats were always hungry because my little tabby eats like a horse. Maybe I'm worried over nothing.
