I just got a new kitty (2 years old) and she is terrified of the TV. I have tried putting on “cat TV” with birds and squirrels etc. but she just hides under the bed. What can I do?
Is it the sound or the picture? I haven't seen a cat afraid of pictures on the TV, but many cats are sensitive to sounds coming from electronics or machinery. What happens with the sound down very low, or the sound turned off? Also, it's common for new cats to hide. Maybe she just needs some quiet attention until she settles in and becomes more confident in her new home.
