Cat brings another cat, with babies, mice to eat?

by Jodie

I have a cat that brings another cat, with babies, mice to eat. These are outdoor farm cats that were here when I purchased my farm. Both cats were feral, but they have decided since I’ve been feeding them, to like me.

The kittens are not the tom’s that brings the mice to her. Is this normal behavior? I’ve never seen or heard of this behavior.

Perhaps not unusual...
by: Jolie66

I wonder if both of these cats were at one time part of a feral community and already knew each other? Then when the mama came to the nice warm barn to have her babies, her male friend just decided to still take care of her? It seems to me that cats in a feral environment would learn to trust each other. If they weren't feral, and the male cat just somehow stumbled upon a mama and her babies, then I would just accredit that to the warm, gentle, perfect nature of cats!!!

Seems unusual

That seems like unusual behavior to me as well. I've never seen that before.
