Can I add a stray to my family?

Question. I have a male cat, 15 years old. Recently, I have had a stay young male cat show up at the house. He is not fixed. My cat, Roy, growls something fierce at the young guy. If I were to decide to keep this stray and got him fixed would my cat ever accept him?
