My Sweet Bowie

She was born March 1, 2015 and sadly passed February 12, 2016. She came to me when I rescued her mother, not knowing I was going to get 9 kittens!


The mother and her entire litter were born with severe URI. Sadly, I only have 6 that are still with me.

Bowie was such a special cat. I am sure most think this of their cat, but she was indeed special. She was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, CH for short.

For those not familiar with CH, she had a neurological problem and her brain did not let her control her back legs, so she needed me 24 hours a day.

I fed her, groomed her, helped her to go potty and bathed her daily. I have had over 100 cats in my lifetime, but Bowie left a special place in my heart that I will never forget. I miss you Bowie.

 Amazing Cat People

My kitty is currently missing (for the 2nd time in 5 yrs) and it so warms my heart to read about cat people like YOU who see the amazing beauty in cats no matter what they present as physically! I think it is no coincidence that certain people are cat lovers since cats "choose" us & "train" us, it almost seems that they know cat lovers have the hearts for it. God bless you & Bowie's angel.

I'm truly sorry for your loss, and there are no words that can replace a love left in your heart for one of your fur babies. May God comfort you! Remember the good times you had with her and keep up the good work because there are not enough of us to care for all of the kitties in this world. You gave her your all and she was able to live a year with you, which she may not have had without you!

 Losing a dear cat

I feel for you. I'm old now and have had many, many cats, but losing my Boy several years ago still hurts. He too was a rescue as his mother, one of our barn cats, had been killed and left 6 kittens 3 weeks old.
