Rascal as a kitten

Rascal as a kitten

Rascal came to us 4 years ago. My son brought him home from a friends house where a mama cat had kittens underneath their porch.

He asked me if we could have another cat (we already had 1 older cat and 2 dogs). I said absolutely NOT!

He then asked me to come into his room where Rascal was already waiting to greet me. Of course, I fell in love with him right away and he was "ours" and we were "his".

Rascal always greeted us when we came home. He loved to lay on his back and swat at the dogs wagging tails.

I am sure he believed he was a dog and spent most of his time with our younger lab, Bailey. They were buddies.

Although our time with Rascal was far to short, he impacted our lives and our hearts deeply. In the end, we just couldn't save him from an illness that led to surgery which he never completely recovered from. Now he's another one of our Angels watching over us.

Sweetness

I'm so happy that you enjoyed the love of Rascal and that Rascal enjoyed your love in return. You obviously took the best care of him that you could and made wonderful memories. Remember the sweetness. Take care.

Sorry for your loss.

I had to have one of my cats, Casper, put down 7 weeks ago. He had cancer. I still cry daily over him. He was the life of our house always having to see what was going on. In time I'm sure it will get easier for us but they will always be in our hearts.

I'm sorry to hear about Rascal, Frances. It's always too soon, but he was taken so young. RIP Rascal kitty.
