I need a quiet litter

When my deaf cat uses the litter box, my other cat can hear her scratching and comes to attack. I need a litter that makes less noise so my attack cat doesn't hear my deaf cat in the box.

I think the clay litters are going to have similar volume. Crystals might be worse. Have you tried pine pellets?
