Elderly cat going to the bathroom outside box
I have a male cat and he’s 20+ years old. He started urinating and defecating outside the box so I put his box in the bedroom where he sleeps. He continued to do it in the other room, so I brought his box where he’s going to the bathroom and he’s still not going in the box.
I’ve tried many different things including making a box extremely low so in case he was having issues with getting in and out of the box it would be easier for him, but he walks up and down the stairs and all over fine. He does not seem to be in any pain. I’m at a loss about what to do.
