Calico

Calico

Calico was always gentle and although somewhat shy, pretty friendly for a semi-feral cat. She did her best to foster two orphaned kittens 18 months ago but both kittens a suddenly died; one kitten out of illness the other of a broken heart.

Yet Calico was always ill her whole life, she carried on showing me love. I had to be away for several days and didn't get to tell Calico to hang in there and that I'd be back. She vanished the day after I left.

I promised her I'd figure a way to find a vet who cared for feral cats to help her but never got far checking. I miss you Calico, you were and still are loved. Meet you at the Bridge. James.

Gorgeous Kitty

Calico is so pretty... thank you for people like you who care about cats like her... the same happened to me, with a tuxedo cat who used to visit home every night, for almost two years... suddenly, he vanished... he was too friendly... I hope for the best... Calico was lucky to be your friend...

A grateful heart
by: Anonymous

Calico and her adopted kittens are (or in Calico's case will someday be) in the next world, chasing anything they please and have a blast. She'll get to thank you again someday, not that you need it.

People often don't understand how much love one can have for our fluffy friends, even if we don't live with them. It isn't easy to have that much compassion, but I wouldn't trade it for an inability to feel, or anything else.
