My sweet girl Sissy

My sweet girl Sissy

Sissy was a beautiful calico cat that came to us as a baby. She also has a brother named Sylvester.

Sissy was very loving but cautious because she always thought someone would step on her. When she was a few months old, she could jump so high that my husband called her a "Flying Squirrel."

Sissy was 10 years old, and since she was young has always had a problem with her urinary tract. I don't know exactly why she died, but the vet says it could have been either kidney disease or liver disease.

I had looked downstairs to see if she wanted to come up and she wouldn't do it. I last looked at her around 9:30 pm and she was fine. I woke up in the morning and went downstairs and she was lying by the couch.

She was still warm so it hadn't been long that she died. We rushed her to the vet and they heard no heartbeat so I am devastated because she was my baby girl and now she is gone.

Beautiful Sissy

So very sorry for your loss. Sissy is so beautiful in the photo - such stunning eyes! When she left your loving care she knew she was at home, and that you were nearby, and she knew how very much she was loved. You were lucky to have had the companionship and love of this beautiful little girl. Thank you for sharing her with us. RIP Sissy x

Sissy,I Have been There

I am so sorry for your loss. I have gone through some terrible times like this myself. Because if I see a cat who needs a home she/he will come home with me. We all know that the day will come when our little angel will go to heaven. I have cried so many times for them. That's how I know how hard it is to lose a sweet baby kitty. Your beautiful Sissy is in heaven where she belongs! After our heart breaks, we can give a home to another sweet one who needs it! That's what I do!!

I'm sorry to hear of your recent loss of Sissy!

We had been given a kitty about 6 yrs. ago, he was beautiful, long black hair and sweet as could be and one day he had problems urinating and we took him to the ER and they told us that he probably had issues with his urethra, which is common in male kitties, his name was Sambo. We opted to have him put to sleep so he wouldn't have to go through this agony ever again.

Then before him I had a kitty I adopted from Pet Welfare, she was scared to pieces and extremely shy. Once she was acclimated to her new home, she was my baby, I called her Sissy because she was sooo afraid of most things. When she couldn't find me she would call me and I'd tell her where I was and sure enough she'd come. I lost her in 2001.

Loosing a daughter/friend is so difficult as they never really leave your heart and though you might find another kitty, that kitty never really seems to be quite the same, but still a wonderful personality and new friend.

God Bless you and mend your heart from your loss. You did the most you could do for her and that was to take her into your home and love her for the years that she spent with you!

Sorry for your loss!
by: Rosemary

I am so sorry for your loss! Our hearts are torn when our 4 legged fur babies pass away. My Princess passed away Feb. at 4 years old from FIV even though she was vaccinated. My heart still breaks when I see photos or think of situations I shared with our Princess. I hope your journey to healing will not be a long one. Again, I am so sorry!
