Winnie from Maspeth

by Grace Barile
(Maspeth, New York)

I found Winnie in 1997 on the railroad tracks near where I used to work. She was about 3 weeks old. We had to feed her with a bottle for several weeks until she was able to eat regular food.

Winnie was a trooper. My husband called her Cochi and I called her Winnie Pooh. She passed on September 9th, 2015. She was 18-1/2 years old.

We miss you every day, but someday we will see you running through the Rainbow Bridge and we will be together again.

i know exactly how u feel and i am so so sorry
Ive lost a few cats over the years but it makes me feel better to know that they all had great lives and never went hungry or cold.
My dad always said when he passes (which he sadly did in january) that he wants to come back as a cat and live in my house and be spoilt rotten. lol

Thank you Odile, I know we were lucky to have her so long but sometimes the longer you have them the pain is greater when you have to say goodbye.

We had a Maine coon cat (longhair) for slightly over 20 years.... She was a wonderful cat. She weighed a little over 20 pounds and was very friendly. She was a beautiful full calico. We now have a street cat who is very friendly and is 6 years old. We named her " MISS BOO ". She lives in our house (never goes outside) and loves it.

So sorry - but you gave her a good home for a very long time. Think of it that way.
