Thor

by Jim Markitell

Loved Dearly

Loved Dearly

Loved Dearly Thor the Fearless!! Always Hungry

Thor was my little buddy and my daughter's 1st cat. He was found at a local shelter and was tiny...my daughter felt sorry for him as he was the runt of the litter. She put him in my hand and he fell fast asleep...the bond was forged.

Kristin, my daughter, took him all over the house, something he tolerated only from her. To say he loved her to death would be an understatement.

Twelve years later, my daughter went to boarding school. Around Thanksgiving, we noticed he was getting skinny and took him to the vet. Thor had an autoimmune disease and wasn't making blood cells fast enough. Today, on the way home from the vets, he passed away in my arms. I never thought I could love a cat as much, be his bond with me and my daughter was strong.

Tonight is a cold and snowy night and I will have to lay Thor to rest. I will miss you Thor, and I know Kristin is devastated. Perhaps someday we will meet on the Rainbow Bridge. Until then, I know you will live on in our hearts and you will never be forgotten.

Rest in Peace, Little Buddy Thor.

I'm very sorry for your loss
by: Kurt (Admin)

I'm very sorry to hear about Thor's passing, Jim. I believe that cats sense and respond to genuine kindness, or more on point, kind individuals. Clearly he responded to your kindness and your daughter's as well, and you gave him a fantastic home!
