Small Litter Box, Long Cat (Solution)

by Cory
(Fla)

My 1 1/2 year old, l8 lb. female cat is average but, boy, is she long. I am 5 ft. tall and if Amber stands on her hind legs, her front paws reach above my waist.

The litter box was way to small, so I bought her an under the bed plastic storage box, where you can pack things like sweaters, blankets, etc. It came with a top, but I left the top at the store.

I bought it at Big Lots for $17.99. Now she has all the room to move around and find a nice spot to potty...

Editor's Note: Great solution, Cory! Sometimes the bigger cats just don't fit in the large size litter boxes. Thanks for the share!

Tall Cat, Short Litter Box Solved
by: Debra

I think you came up with a great solution! I have see photos on the internet of tall cats and I wonder what their owners did about this problem. It would be interesting to find out. I would also love to see a photo of your cat! Any other owners of tall cats out there?

Potty Training

By taking the cat box and putting it by the toilet, put it up the same height as the toilet seat.
Eventually they will use the toilet. Remove the cat box. NOW teach her to flush! It might take a little work but not impossible!!
