Rammy

Rammy in November 2009

Rammy (Ramses) was a beautiful and intelligent longhaired tabby. He adopted me in 1995 by coming into my house and stayed for 15 years. He always came onto my lap or bed if I was feeling low. He was a very gentle cat although he caught rats when needed!

He was my constant companion and best friend for many years. Latterly he had become slower, his hearing was failing and his coat was less glossy, but his huge amber eyes were as beautiful as ever. On April 28, 2010 he went out through the cat flap after supper and never returned... I think he knew it was time and just wandered off to die.

I am also so very sorry to hear about Rammy. What a distinguished and intelligent face he had!
He probably wanted to spare you some pain knowing that he was going to pass. Yes cats do have a sixth sense about this.
How blessed you both were to have each other!

hi; I am sorry to hear about the loss of Rammy. It seems cats have an inbred instinct about these things. I know you will never forget him and nothing will take his place, but maybe in time you will find another one to love.

I'm very sorry to hear about Rammy's passing, Rob. I'm glad to hear that he had a best friend to care for him for so many years.
