Recently, my cat suffered from diarrhea and he was almost close to death. When he recovered from the illness, then he was not able to poop.
My Thoughts:
I'm sorry to hear that your cat has been so sick, Olivia. I'm glad to hear he is recovering.
I can't diagnose your cat's current problem, and I can't know whether or not it's related to his illness.
I can take a guess and say that when your cat had diarrhea, his body lost a lot of water. In addition to dehydration, that loss of water can lead to constipation.
Constipation may be why he can't poop. Your veterinarian can prescribe treatment for that. Since he's been so sick lately, I would take no chances with him and take him to the vet. That way you'll be sure to get the right diagnosis and treatment.
I hope that helps and I hope he gets fixed up quickly.
