Boots from Delevan

She was found abandoned at a nursing home where my wife worked. I came and picked her up and brought her HOME where she quickly became a daddies girl.
No one else was allowed to pick her up, only daddy was allowed, her rules. She was a little large, with beautiful markings of all black with pure white boots.
She got sick one night while I was working overnight and planned on taking her to the vet when I got home, but I guess she knew it was her time and she knew how upset I was.
My wife checked on her at 5 am. I arrived home at 7:15 am to find her gone at the ripe old age of 15. I miss her every day when I enter my bedroom where her bed was, and sometimes feel her presence there.
