Deacon, better known as Deac

by Glenn
(Cumming)

Deacon came into our lives September of 2006 and left October of 2016. We had 10 great years together.

He and I had a special bond and I miss him so much. He would follow me around the house like a puppy. If I would be reading a book or the newspaper, he would be right there in my lap. We would watch TV and he would sit/sleep in my lap for hours. He was my best buddy.

If I went outside, he would sit in whatever window was closest to where I was so he could watch me. He would expect his treats at 1:00 PM, and if they were not there, he would let you know it. He had some voice and he was not afraid to use it if he wanted something.

In the 10 years we had the pleasure of owning each other, he never went outside. He did put one of his paws/hands on the garage floor once when he first came into our lives and jumped back in the house and said "no thank you" I'll stay inside with you.

It was amazing. You could leave a door open and he would just sit there and look outside, never wanting to go out.

It is said that when my time comes we will meet again on the other side of the rainbow bridge. I sure hope that is true. Until that time Deac, when we met again, you will be in my thoughts and prayers always. I love you and will never forget you.

Best friends
by: Kacy

RIP Deacon. I know how you feel, I too had a very special boy named Elvis. He adopted us from the shelter. We named him Elvis because he was such a lover boy! He wanted to be with my husband and I pretty much non stop. He slept with us every single night. He would lay his head on my arm and stare at me purring so loudly he would squeak sometimes and pass out like that under the covers with my arm as his pillow. He would look me right in the eyes, I could literally feel him saying I love you...even though it was probably more like you should totally bring treats to bed! We lost him to do a bum heart...he was so young, a little over 3. Worst day of my life. It's been almost 3 yrs since we lost him and I still miss him every single day.

My cat is 4 years old and needed the vet
by: Anonymous

He and I are so attached that I was so upset that he was no feeling well. I live with hom as my buddy and he is very loving and smart. I spent one all night to the vet and they started him on medicines but we had to go back twice over 2 days to have tests and scans. I was so scared I would loose him , I had to take my anxiety meds ! Now he is recovering and I have spent a fortune on him, but it is so worth it ! A great cat is such a comfort and I never will be with one ever again. I thank the vets that know how much we love our furry friends and take such good care of them and of the owners also!

We are well on our way to good health and look forward to many more years together.

Male kitties are just extra special. I've never seen one that doesn't want to be close to you and loved a lot! What a wonderful life you two lived together for those 10 yrs. and I'm sorry to hear of your loss!

I hope you can find another forever friend, although no two kitties are quite alike. I hope that should you decide to try to find another furbaby to spend some of your time with he will be just as special as Deac. was to you.

May God comfort you and Bless you,
A
