Cat showing "third eye" and coughing and breathing wierd, could this be an allergic reaction?

My cat is showing his "third eye" and was coughing and breathing weird yesterday. I used arm and hammer carpet powder with oxi-clean, could this be an allergic reaction?

Twinky was also gone for 10 days. Has been back home for 10 days. Went to the vet three days ago and got his feline leukemia booster, and having fleas, was treated.

Call your veterinarian please
by: Kurt (Admin)

Thanks for posting your question. Yes, I think it could be an allergic reaction, and I recommend you call your veterinarian.

Wheezing or difficulty breathing and coughing are definite signs that a visit to the vet is required. Cats may also show the third eyelid, or a good portion of it, when they are ill.

Cats can have allergic reactions to vaccines, fleas, flea treatments, or other substances, such as carpet cleaner or deodorizers. Twinky has been exposed to all of these things recently.
